Vice-mayor of the city of Stavropol - Bestuzhiy Igor Aleksandrovich

Was born on the 9th of March 1960. After finishing secondary school he entered the Stavropol State Medical Institute. Graduated from the Institute in 1984, acquired a “therapeutic business” speciality.

He started his labour activity at the Ryzdvyany hospital of Izobilny Region. In 1986 he was appointed a chief doctor of the Ryzdvyany hospital, and in 1992 – a chief doctor of the Izobilny Medical Association “In-patient Department”.

After the adoption of the Russian Federation Law “About compulsory medical insurance of the Russian Federation citizens” he was a director of the “Garant-M” Izobilny Insurance Company. In 1994 he was in charge of a new created “COGAS”Stavropol Branch JSC.

In 1995 he graduated from the Financial Academy Personnel Training Institute under the Government of the Russian Federation on a financial-bank speciality.

From 2000 to 2005 he was a vice-president of the Stavropolsky kray Insurance Organizations Association and a member of the Coordinative committee on insurance development issues under the Stavropolsky kray Government.

From June to October 2008 he was a minister of Stavropolsky kray Property Relations being a member of the Stavropolsky kray Government.

In October 2008 he was appointed a vice-mayor of the city of Stavropol.

He is married and a father of 3 children: two sons and a daughter.
